“Corte Francigena” is a residential complex in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, a little village located a few kilometers from Montalcino, specifically on the hillside, part of the UNESCO heritage, above the marvelous Sant’Antimo Abbey.
The Court benefits from a panoramic position and overlooks one of the most photographed views of Tuscany from Monte Amiata to the majestic Castello della Velona.
The project was studied to ensure a stunning view and a swimming pool is available to guarantee the best tourist experience to the guests.
Every flat has its own identity. To define it we started from the concept of pilgrimage, an important activity in the Val d’Orcia area thanks to the Via Francigena that crosses the land.
Hence, the idea of narrating the path through the medical plants that accompanied the pilgrims on their journey, naming every flat with a different kind of plant.
